Ambient sounds are a really important part of you production. Recording ambient sounds individually gives you much more control in the edit suite of how loud and where you can fade in and fade out individual sounds. It’s important as always to get your sound recorder as close as possible to the sound to ensure good quality sound. It’s also useful to describe the audio sounds with a voice tag so when you start your editing you don’t have to remember what each sound was.
